(Un)Bound New York

13 – 24 September 2017

The exhibition “(Un)Bound” was organized together with Photoville New York and took place in New York Brooklyn Bridge Park from 13th to 24th September 2017. It presented the work of four visual artists based in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) exploring the many written and unwritten rules defining boundaries and how they relate to our sense of freedom and belonging. The complementary, contradicting and sometimes even unusual visual strategies of the presented artists are linked by the exploration of the (photographic) landscape and migration, expressing the cultural interpretation and associations related to it.

Photoville is a New York-based non-profit organization that works to promote a wider understanding and increased access to the art of photography for all.
